Project Assistant

At ResReal Designs we are looking for a team leader to work with homeowners and general contractors in the preliminary architectural design of their home renovation projects.
 

The Design Coordinator will use AutoCAD and other design software to prepare floor layouts and site plans for home construction projects, such as kitchen, bath, and bedroom interior renovations, additions, decks, pools, and more.

Experience in AutoCAD is required and proficiency in architectural design. In addition to preliminary drafting based on regular meetings and calls with clients, you will manage the progress of design projects and lead other team members through our well-established Design Process. In this role, you will gain extensive knowledge of how local codes and zoning differ from town to town as the project progress through the permit applications to secure a building permit.

  

Qualifications  

  • Experience serving homeowners/contractors in the home construction industry   

  • Experience drafting architectural plans using design software

  • Experience being a team leader and/or managing a project

  • Strong customer relations skills

  • Owns a vehicle and a valid driver's license

Our Project Assistants are led by a licensed Architectural Engineer. In our entirely digital (well almost) design process, Project Assistants use design software to prepare floor layouts for Construction Plans. See how local zoning differs from town to town and the process to get a building permit for construction. Experience in AutoCAD or Interior Design is preferred. We’ll show you the rest. Like how to leverage AutoCAD for exactly what we do here and how to use other design programs like Matterport 3D Modeling, Chief Architect and BlueBeam Revu. In addition to drafting, you and another enthusiastic, detail-focused team member will collect field measurements on-site at our clients’ homes for your projects.


Qualifications

  • Experience or education in interior design, architecture, home renovations or related

  • Tech-savvy with computers

  • Familiar with AutoCAD or similar architectural drawing software

  • Capable of taking site measurements and collecting field data

  • Car and valid driver's license
